Charismatic ruler pops are very helpful with normal ruler jobs. Also consider autho/slaver guilds so you can move your ruler species pops without paying influence (or is it unity now?). Autho in general is better than xenophobic for slavery access. If you move a single slave ruler pop it'll promote itself.

Late game it gets really tedious micromanaging everything, especially if you have slaves, and there tends to be more jobs than there are pops, making unemployment a non-issue. Also, authoritarian is great as you start w/caste system, so If you get any annoying factions, place pops w/undesirable ethics on food or mineral tiles and they will be enslaved and can nolonger contribute to the faction.
